New 'God of War' game coming to PlayStation Portable

Sony is planning to release another God of War game for the PlayStation Portable later this year, the company announced. God of War: Ghost of Sparta picks up after the end of the first God of War game for PlayStation 2, following lead character Kratos as he begins his ascension to power. Ready at Dawn Studios -- who also worked on the 2008 PSP title God of War: Chains of Olympus -- will develop the sequel.

Chains of Olympus has been lauded as one of the PSP's best games, thanks to very powerful graphics for a handheld game. The most notable complaint about the title was its brevity. The single-player campaign could be finished in under five hours. In a statement, Sony says Ghost of Sparta will include "25% more gameplay" compared to its predecessor.
